IZQuest collects the minimum information necessary to function:

Gmail Data (via Google API)

• Inbox message count only — We access the total number of emails in your inbox to track when you clean emails
• We use the gmail.readonly scope, which provides read-only access

Local Game Data

• Game statistics: Wins, losses, streaks, rounds played
• Preferences: Difficulty settings, selected game
• Subscription status: Whether you're a Pro subscriber

Payment Data (via Stripe)

• If you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe
• We do not store your credit card information
• Stripe may collect billing information per their privacy policy

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Track inbox count changes — Detect when you delete or archive emails
• Calculate game resources — Convert email cleanup into available guesses
• Store game progress — Save your statistics locally
• Process subscriptions — If you choose to upgrade to Pro

3. Data Storage

All game data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device except for:

• Gmail API calls: Required to check your inbox count (read-only)
• Stripe: Payment processing if you subscribe (their servers, not ours)

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Your game statistics, preferences, and progress exist only on your computer.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Gmail API

• Used exclusively to read inbox message count
• Governed by Google's Privacy Policy
• Access can be revoked at any time via Google Account Settings

Stripe (Payment Processing)

• Handles all payment information securely
• Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy
• We receive only confirmation of payment status

5. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Revoke Gmail access: Go to Google Account Permissions and remove IZQuest
• Delete local data: Uninstall the extension to remove all stored data
• Reset statistics: Use the "Reset Statistics" button in extension settings

6. Data Security

We protect your information through:

• OAuth 2.0 authentication for Gmail access
• HTTPS encryption for all API communications
• Local-only storage of game data
• No server-side storage of personal information

7. Children's Privacy

IZQuest is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the extension or via email if provided. Continued use of IZQuest after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
